Aren’t you looking for something fun to do on the weekends? Do you seem to be in the same rut of weekend activities? Try and change it up this weekend, May 21-22 for the Secret Gardens of Fourth Ward Tour 2022!
Go out and enjoy a self-guided tour of public and private gardens located in the heart of Center City Charlotte. Many of the areas that are shown in this tour are often closed off to public access but are open to public viewing for this event. On this tour, you will be able to see local public art, learn about the historic homes in the area, and just exploring all that Historic Fourth Ward has to offer!
More that is included in this tour is admission into Fourth Ward Park and historic Elmwood/Pinewood Cemetery. There will be tours of the Elmwood/Pinewood Cemetery that will start at 3;30 pm both days. Also included in the tour is access to St Peter’s Episcopal Church with the church gardens giving tours each day as well as the Charlotte Choir School giving a free performance starting at 1 pm.
Along the tour, complimentary food and beverage tastings in the gardens and local restaurants along the tour providing tastings of different types of alcoholic beverages and tastings of local cuisine. Get there early though because tastings will only be available while supplies last!
Tickets for the event start at $30 for a single day ticket, good for either Saturday or Sunday. Tickets are also available for weekend flex starting at $40, where you can split up the tour for both days, although you can only go to each location and each tasting once per ticket. Tickets are non-refundable and after purchased cannot switch them between people. A link will be provided below for you to buy your tickets.
