It’s hard to believe that summer is almost gone, Labor Day has come and gone, kiddos are back to school and the sun has started to set a little bit earlier each night. While it’s always a little sad to say goodbye to summer, we are one thousand percent ready for fall decor, cooler weather, football and best of all, spooky season.
If you’re one of those people who refuses to acknowledge fall before October, this blog post might not be for you, lol!
Since Labor Day officially marks the end of summer, we think it’s perfectly acceptable to start decorating for the new season around that time. We’re wanting to include some new decor pieces this year, so we took a deep dive to see what’s trending.
Be ready to be inspired!!!
Natural Elements
-Driftwood decor, warm leather and natural stone like concrete or slate are great elements to include in your fall decor this season. You can incorporate these pieces in both big and small ways. If you’re looking to invest in a new couch, consider cognac leather for a timeless look. Have commitment issues? Try starting off small with a leather pillow.
Modern Pumpkins
-Ditch the bright orange decor and opt for more neutral pumpkin colors this year. White, sage and even light brown or tan are the way to go. You can even paint your bright orange pumpkins white and add some of your personality to it!

Velvet
-Velvet…. making the comeback. We can appreciate it in other people’s spaces and give it a try in our own places! From couches and chairs to pillows and blankets, you can really capture that creepy haunted house vibe by including velvet accents in your fall decor. Want a tip? Light an “Old Grandma’s House” scented candle to really match the aesthetic.
