Ever Thought About Solar Panels??

Solar Panel Rebate Program

Solar is the way to go and more energy efficient!!  The North Carolina Utilities Commission (NCUC) has just approved a new $62 million dollar solar rebate program – to assist people with the upfront cost of installation of the panels.  While the panels are energy efficient, the upfront costs are enormous! This is part of the House Bill 589 – 2017 Competitive Energy Solutions of North Carolina.

North Carolina is the 2nd in the nation for overall solar capacity.  We currently have 6,000 property owners with private solar systems.  In the next 5 years, it is predicted to grow 200% in its private solar market.  Under the program, residential customers would be eligible for a rebate of 60 cents per watt for solar energy systems 10 kilowatts or less.  And there is even an options of leasing the solar equipment with a contract.  Using the suns energy to produce electricity is so much better for the environment.  Right now, solar panels provide an energy efficiency rating between 11 and 15 percent, which is the percentage of solar energy that is being converted into useable electricity.  It does sound and seem low, but with all the technology, there is already advancements beyond our realm of thinking.  Before you know it, the percentages will be higher and our bills will be lower!!!  Click the REBATE PROGRAM & SOLAR PANELS to learn more.
