This is historic day in Charlotte! It’s official….. Charlotte will have a Major League Soccer team (MLS)! The MLS commissioner, Don Garber, stated Charlotte has always been a market of interest for MLS. Charlotte has the passion for the game, strong job market, and excitement through the city. The Top 3 things he was looking for were: a committed owner (David Tepper), public partnership and a club embraced by the corporate community. The team is expected to take the field in 2021.
